There are many good books to choose from, but a lot of people just don’t know what’s out there. There are books that are about fighting to the death, where only two out of 24 survive – The Hunger Games. Some books touch the heart, such as The Fault in our Stars, which is a story of how cancer impacts the life of a young girl, but when she meets a boy in cancer support group, everything changes. Others such as Go Ask Alice and Lucy in the Sky talk about how drugs and the influence of others can impact lives of not only the user, but their families as well. Nicholas Sparks is the author of many “chick books” that are full of romance, heart ache, and death. Just a few written by him are The Last Song, Safe Haven, and The Lucky One.

     Go Ask Alice by Anonymous is based on a true story. The book was published by her mother once she found the two diaries.  It explains the life of a teenage girl who is unknowingly introduced to acid. It turns into a domino effect and she soon finds herself in a world of darkness.

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks is one that will cause the reader many tears. It is the story of a headstrong teenage girl, Ronnie, who moves with her brother to spend the summer with her dad due to her parents’ divorce. Ronnie is disrespectful and rude towards her father. Everything abruptly changes when she meets a boy that makes her whole world spin and her dad is diagnosed with cancer.
